Description:

Interns with Special Collections and University Archives have the opportunity to create their own learning goals and have their internship project tailored to what they want to achieve. Over the course of the internship, interns learn the basics of archival processing, collection management, and preservation through working directly with primary source collection objects. Successful interns are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work onsite between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing archival collections including: digitization and content selection
  • Oral history interviews and transcriptions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

This internship is part of the Fall 2026 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Preferred

  • Able to work onsite between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Senior status preferred
